About the project
Lamesa ISD's new athletic building, previously known as the Golden Tor Gym, is considered one of the best facilities in West Texas. This impressive gym includes separate practice and competition gyms for basketball and volleyball, as well as other athletic activities and events. The facility is equipped with weight rooms, dedicated training rooms, coach's offices, laundry rooms, ample equipment storage, spacious locker rooms, and a film room for reviewing game footage. The 43,200 SF competition gym has floating maple sports flooring, glue laminated beam structure, elevated concourse for fixed stadium seating, LED lighting, and six single mast goals with glass backboard, motorized lift, motorized height adjustment main court goals and seats approximately 1,450 spectators in comfortable stadium seating. The practice gym has telescoping seating for 200. This comprehensive facility sets a new standard for athletic buildings in the region.
