The Monahans-Wickett-Pyote High School has recently unveiled a new auditorium as part of its extensive campus transformation. This modern facility is designed to support the school's fine arts programs and serve as a premier venue for community events. The auditorium features seating for 700 attendees, providing ample space for performances and gatherings.
In addition to the main auditorium, the fine arts expansion includes a new black box theatre, dressing rooms, and scene shop storage, enhancing the school's capabilities for diverse theatrical productions. A new choir addition and art room further contribute to the comprehensive fine arts education offered at the school. The band hall has also been renovated, with a new enclosed hallway connecting it to the main building, improving accessibility and functionality.
These improvements are part of the 2019 $140 million bond initiative to replace or remodel buildings over 50 years old, providing modern learning spaces and significant safety and security upgrades for students and the community.
