Mansfield ISD’s Tarver-Rendon Elementary School has a rich history, first opening its doors in 1897. While the facility had been rebuilt multiple times, the school had been operating in a building constructed in 1970. As part of the 2011 Bond Program, Tarver-Rendon was one of five elementary schools selected for complete replacement.
The new campus is designed to foster an optimal learning environment, featuring abundant natural daylight throughout classrooms to enhance focus, mood, and alertness. A secure main entrance and upgraded safety and security systems ensure a safer campus for students and staff. Enhanced technology infrastructure expands the learning experience, promoting collaboration and making education more interactive and engaging.
The facility also prioritizes sustainability with an energy-efficient geothermal HVAC system, high-performance interior lighting, advanced mechanical systems and controls, and a durable roof system—all contributing to reduced operating costs and long-term efficiency.
