This $25 million project consists of a new three-building complex in the Lubbock Business Park at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Bradley Street. The complex includes a two-story administration building, a separate driver's license building, and an ancillary building to house motor fleet operations and a radio shop. The headquarters building more than triples the space of the nearly 40-year-old building it previously occupied. The new headquarters includes a new DNA crime laboratory and emergency operations center as well as a fitness center and a projectile recovery tank for firearms investigations. The new driver's license office is 3,000 SF larger than its previous location and will incorporate many of the latest technology upgrades designed to reduce processing times and improve customer flow with its four additional workstations.
