The Children’s Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas purchased the building known previously as Town and Country Plaza to meet the needs of the growing community. The two-story building was redesigned to meet the needs of the CAC with multiple forensic interview rooms, observation rooms, private waiting areas for families, meeting rooms, and office space. The new layout facilitates the collaboration of administrative services and workflow between Child Protective Services special investigators, San Angelo Police Department child crimes detectives, Homeland Security, and the Shannon Medical Center component. The renovation included a complete rework and update of all the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, as well as security upgrades, ensuring that the facility is not only functional but also safe and secure for both staff and clients. The attention to detail in updating finishes such as flooring, millwork, and lighting contributes to creating a welcoming and professional environment for all who enter the center.
